Product Description
Exceptionally rare, very early production C. Sharps & Co. Model 1A Four-Barrel Pepperbox Pistol, bearing a highly desirable three-digit serial number: 230. Serial numbers match on both the frame and the barrel cluster, confirming 100% factory originality. Manufactured in 1859 during the first weeks of production, this specific pistol represents the rarest configuration of the Model 1A. It features the scarce, early-production smooth walnut grips which predate the common molded gutta-percha grips—paired with the classic straight breech-to-frame juncture. It features a fully functional indexing hammer. The release button is somewhat tight, but it functions as it should. The bores show some pitting and mild rifling is visible.
