4/7/26 - W. Bentrup & Sohn dress bayonet is a rare example of a "distributor-marked" German ceremonial sidearm. During the Third Reich era, soldiers and NCOs frequently purchased dress bayonets from retail distributors rather than directly from the manufacturers in Solingen. This bayonet features a 10" blade that shows minor scabbard wear. No evidence of sharpening. Grips are tight with no cracks. The scabbard is in great shape as well showing only minor paint loss. The un-marked leather frog shows wrinkling and age wear.
