Very nice and all-original example of a World War II Walther P.38 manufactured in 1944. It is fully matching numbers and fully functional including the de-cocker. This highly collectible sidearm features the desirable ac 44 manufacturer code stamped on the left side of the slide, indicating production at the Walther factory in Zella-Mehlis during the height of wartime operations. It retains about 90% of its original finish with the majority of the wear on the front strap. It features excellent, correct reddish-brown grips and an excellent pebble grain holster. The bore is very clean and rates an 8 of 10. It includes 2, correct magazines, both stamped on the spine with the eagle 359 waffen proof. The holster has secure, original stitching and is maker and date stamped on the back. Very clean interior.
