Product Description
Original and highly scarce L.B. Taylor & Co. Single-Shot Pocket Pistol chambered in .32 rimfire. Manufactured in Chicopee, Massachusetts between 1868 and 1870, this historic piece is a great example of a Reconstruction-era American pocket pistol. With an incredibly limited total production run of only about 1,800 units, surviving working examples are rarely encountered on the collector market today.
This particular pistol bears serial number 1223, which is fully matching on both the frame and the underside of the barrel assembly, confirming its factory-original assembly. The hammer cocks and locks as it should, however, the trigger needs to be lightly held forward for the hammer to lock with each cock. The bore shows pitting and rifling is still visible.
