These AR-15 style competition rifles were manufactured for the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) between 1994 and 2006. Based on the configuration and original purchase history, this example dates to approximately 2002 and was purchased new by the previous owner.
This is a gas-operated, semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223 Remington and features the factory laser-engraved CMP logo. It is equipped with a 20-inch extra-heavy competition barrel, fully adjustable National Match-style front and rear sights, and an adjustable competition trigger. The buttstock contains the factory competition lead counterweight, bringing the rifle's total weight to nearly 14 pounds for enhanced stability during target shooting.
The rifle appears unfired and is in exceptional collector-grade condition. Included with the sale are the original paperwork, two magazines, and the original Bushmaster clamshell hard case.
